1968

Jürgen Buckenmaier lays the cornerstone for the RIANI success story in his home town of Schorndorf with his so-called “Bucki” trousers. Bucki trousers become a huge hit, with over 100,000 pairs being sold.

1978

The founding years. With booming demand for ladies’ separates, Jürgen Buckenmaier founds the company RIANI Bucki Mode GmbH and begins to build up sales.

1991

Relocation to the attractive Head Office in Schorndorf. This is where the entire collection is designed, sold and dispatched. RIANI is expanding and developing into an international brand, sold in many countries.

1994

A fresh breeze. New designers provide innovative input and a breath of fresh air at RIANI. The brand continues to develop. RIANI grows and expands into further countries,

2006

Renaming of the company as RlANI GmbH.

2007

Martine Cruse brings in a wealth of experience in fashion management. She is appointed second Managing Director of RIANI GmbH alongside Jürgen Buckenmaier.

2008

Celebration! RIANI celebrates its 30th anniversary in Schorndorf with all of its employees – a dazzling jubilee.

2008

Ulrich Schulte becomes the new Head Designer at RIANI. Alongside him, there are five more designers involved in creating new and inspiring collections.

2009

To mark his round birthday, Jürgen Buckenmaier is awarded the City of Schorndorf’s Daimler Medal for Business Promotion.

2010

Mareb Šegrt-Guba is appointed an officer of the company and becomes a member of management.

2011

Global Player. The workforce grows. All departments from Design and Cutting to Quality Control and Logistics are housed together under one roof in Schorndorf. Together with RIANI’s production facilities in Poland, Hungary, Turkey and the Czech Republic, up to 350 employees are working on the new RIANI collections.

2011

The first RIANI STORE opened up on December 1st, 2011. RIANIs Hometown Schorndorf was chosen intentionally. Here the modern and attractive Store finds his home in the historic bathing house. It's made possible through a cooperation of Jürgen Buckenmaier (RIANI owner) and Reiner M. Regerbis (Regro owner).

2012

Best Prospects for a successful future for RIANI and all of its employees. The new collection is in keeping with our credo: RIANI always fits. Everywhere.
